Case study is an important tool we use in business. We normally talk about cases at the level of organizations, but I feel it is most appropriate to treat China as a case, The China Case , for its challenges, richness in contexts, dynamics, and promises. Like in any case analysis, lessons learned should not be automatically transferred to a different context, but the analysis itself should prove to be helpful to any business and political leaders.

Current Work

I am currently writing a book, tentatively titled The Chinese Way, to be published by Routledge in late 2012 or early 2013. Just like the Amercian way of life is reflected in the principles of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", this book will attempt to capture the defining characteristics of Chinese way of life, around the year 2012, built upon detailed descriptive research (minicases, executive interviews, and survey).
